Our Blue Initiatives
When looking into carbon offsetting schemes in 2022 we decided to focus on ‘blue carbon’. Our research showed that the planting of mangroves and conservation of wetland areas has far more effective impact on Co2 absorption than terrestrial forests.
Working alongside Evertreen on tree planting projects, we are not only focused on environmental benefits but also on granting stable employment for local communities of farmers involved in the projects.
Whitespace Group have previously been partnered with One Tree Planted through which we have planted over 2,160 mangrove trees since 2021.
